Although Winter is a busy time of year for tow trucks and drivers, spring is not a risk-free season. Although the weather is better, there are still risks to driving. However, the effects of winter on your vehicle can often be felt in Spring.

1. Improved Driver Conditions = More Drivers on The Road
This is an easy one. Spring has better driving conditions, so people drive more often than in winter. People can drive longer and without risk, which has led to an increase in the number of vehicles on the roads.

As you can see, more vehicles means more potential for breakdowns. This could be from long-term issues such as winter damage or general car accidents like locking the car out or a fender bender.

2. Winter's Effects

The temperature changes between Winter and spring can also cause tire pressure fluctuations, causing them to become over- or underinflated. Tires can burst when this happens and many people will need to call a tow truck to change their tires in spring.

3. Spring Break
One of the busiest periods of the year to travel is Spring break. Students across the country go home or on vacation while schools are on a brief break. There are different dates for spring break at colleges so you'll see a lot of students driving along the roads, often over long distances, as they travel home to vacation.

Students who are traveling during spring break often need to be assisted by tow trucks. Sometimes, the vehicles are not in their best condition. This can happen for a simple problem like a flat tire, or a more serious issue with the engine.
