Auto accidents are something that tow truck drivers have witnessed firsthand. There is always a risk of driving with so many people on the roads. However, there are times when it is more dangerous than others.

These are the 6 most dangerous times to be driving:

1. Evening Rush Hour

Even though morning rush hour can be dangerous, evening rush hour is more dangerous because of the increased number of tired drivers who are driving after a long day. Rush hour is the most hazardous period to drive because of this and the pressure to get home as soon as possible.

2. Saturday

The weekend is when traffic fatalities are highest, with Saturday being the day with the most accidents. A Saturday's fatality rate is nearly twice that of weekdays. This makes sense considering the greater number of vehicles on weekends, such as Saturdays.

3. Summer

The summer months are the most dangerous time of year to drive. August, June, and September are the most dangerous. This is especially true for younger drivers. There are more accidents in summer vacations than in any other month.

4. Fourth of July

While most national holidays are unsafe to drive on, the Fourth of July is one of the most dangerous. This is because many people are not at work and will likely be traveling to celebrate.

5. Holiday Season

The holiday season starts around Thanksgiving and continues until the New Year. These are the most dangerous times of year to be on the roads. The holiday season is the busiest moment for many families as they travel far to visit their loved ones.

This makes it extremely dangerous, especially on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving.

6. Winter

This coincides with the holiday season. Winter weather makes roads more dangerous. Ice and snow can cause a lot of accidents.

Although severe winter weather is not common in all parts of the country, those who do experience it are more vulnerable to the dangers on the roads.
